Music : House, Techno and Alternative Electronic Back in 2004 a group of friends decided to put on a night that would encompass the realm of house music they thought was missing from the Cardiff club scene. A night that would cater for the lovers of the slightly dirtier side of house, a night that would bring Cardiff the Dj’s they thought everyone wanted to see but never got the opportunity to hear, Superchunk was born . The first night was booked at the much-loved Emporium, the best club in Cardiff. Two weeks before the launch disaster struck, and the Emporium shut. After a frantic search, the Red Rooms agreed to a Venue change, and Phil Kieran and Tom Neville kicked off a night that 2 years later has played host to many of House music’s premier Dj’s. Since it inception Superchunk has showcased the talents of many a top jock including John Carter, Tom Stephan, FC Kahuna, Pete Heller, Justin Robertson and many more. And as we approach our second anniversary we intend to carry on the tradition by bringing the people of Cardiff more of the same, while putting on the biggest and best parties we can!
