  Paul Moorhouse, Managing Director of the Layan Gardens

   

Paul Moorhouse is an extra-busy man these days. For many years he was heavily involved in running a global logistic company, TNT, as Group Chief Operating Officer. Time for change so he shifted his way into the real estate development business in 1997. He has had a home in Phuket since 1994 and at the time there was little choice of real estate. There were only small condos, no villas and apartments. Especially around the very desirable Laguna area there was nothing, so he felt that he had found a big opportunity to develop a business, building 'gated communities' in the Laguna area which were suitable for people who were looking for luxurious and large accommodation.

His first Phuket development together with his partner Don Taylor was on 20 rai (8 acres) of prime lakefront land at the entrance to the famous Laguna Resort at Bang Tao Bay which they called "Lakeshore Villas". The development was an immediate success and all Villas were sold within 3 months of release. The whole development of its 17 properties together with all the gardens, amenities and landscaping were completed in January 2002, exactly two years after commencement.

Their second prestigious project "Lakewood Hills" has been built on freehold land in a superb location. The project consists of nine luxurious very large Villas and ten single storey, three bedroom Villas. There are majestic views over several lakes and across the valley to the Banyan Tree Golf Course and the mountains beyond, all the way west to the Andaman Sea. As with Lakeshore Villas all properties were sold well before completion.




And now he has just recently commenced his most recent project, Layan Gardens, which is adjacent to the Lakewood Hills estate, where he is creating a unique environment of luxury, resort-style contemporary apartment living. At Layan Gardens there is a focus on space, practicality, facilities and functionality enhanced by total privacy and security as well as easy access to all surrounding amenities together with tranquility and peace of mind in a beautiful, hillside tropical garden setting with absolutely stunning sea views.

   

40% of Paul's customers come from referrals from satisfied buyers. In order to maximize the quality of the product and the satisfaction of the buyers the principals personally work in and oversee every aspect of design, sales and customer service as well as the construction and finish of the properties therefore ensuring that their buyers receive exactly what they expect and of course what they are paying for!
